Zion's Community House (ZCH) provides quality and self-empowering programs for youth, adults, and their families to address and enrich their career; educational, emotional, social, recreational, and physical needs.
ZCH is established to provide meaningful services to residents of the city of Newnan, GA. and the surrounding areas. The community house offers children, youth and teens a safe place to socialize and participate in organized after school and summer enrichment programs along with other activities; professional staff, skillful support workshops and seminars. Meet our Leadership staff
MEET OUR DIRECTOR
Luther Day began his current position in the summer of 2017 as Director of the Zion's Community House, location of The NFL Player Cam Newton Foundation in Newnan, Ga. He has worked with the Cam Newton Foundation since 2012. He was raised by his strong, inviolable widowed mother, as she imparted love, discipline and a ‘pay it forward’ disposition. Day is a native of Ohio. Relocating to Atlanta, he earned his advanced degree in counseling and began his career working with juveniles as he volunteered with Urban Young Life inc., a faith-based program which focuses on at-risk and disadvantaged youth suffering from abuse, social deprivation, displacement, and emotional issues.
Mr. Day's focus is advancing these youth, with the empowerment of addressing the social disparities of education, wise and healthy decision-making, the value of leadership integrity, peer mentoring, focusing on healthy family communication, along with community service, and emphasis on ‘fun’.
The Zion House youth participants come from various communities throughout the county, namely, schools, other youth programs, and the faith-based community, to form a positive kinship within the community.
Before beginning his career with (CNF) The Cam Newton Foundation Mr. Day co-founded ‘Inner Cross Roads, Inc.’ which provided guidance to at-risk and disadvantaged adolescent males.
With over 25 years of experience working with children, adolescents and adult populations within various educational and therapeutic settings, he provides opportunities for personal growth, encompassing spiritual, emotional, physical, and social development, which equips them with the skills necessary to excel in society. Ultimately, Mr. Day would like to expand his reach to the masses of youth that haven’t been mentored or directed in making thought-out, calculated decisions, concerning their goals which have to do with education, health, relationships, and the future. His vision is to promote ethnic growth with respect to various social structures, languages, laws, politics, religion, and technology.
To create an environment that engages learners, fosters creativity, and puts, to coin a phrase, “responsibility” for learning where it belongs – with our youth.

We are truly excited about the opportunities the "From Boys to Men" mentoring program plan to expose our mentees to throughout this year. Our program is divided into two sessions (Fall and Spring), which will feature events, workshops, and activities that focus on personal/spiritual, social, academic, and career development.
Mothers and Daughters Excelling (M.A.D.E) a mentoring program that teaches, empowers and helps girls to act on positive life lessons to enhance their quality of life and those they interact with over a lifetime. We strive to provide Christian-based, enrichment programs that are centered around personal talents, career goals, relationships, faith, health & fitness, education and social activities.
